Midwyn Meadowborn (born 34 Wintumber 100, Fifth Age) is a young Forai adventurer from the Sylfaeron Woodlands.

Early life

Midwyn was born in the quaint lakeside town of Dardaigh, to a farmer family, the second child of Veriseldë Evenwood and Faeryn Meadowborn. His older sister, Aradil, is a herbologist and potions master. As a little child he proved excellent talent in the natural skills of the Forai; Herbology and Forest Magicks, the latter being his stronger quiality. At the age of 27 he moved to Rimwood and began training with Elder Ërathwr, the forest sage.

Elder Ërathwr's Tutelage

For a little more than 40 years Midwyn trained under Elder Ërathwr, learning all sorts of skills and honing the natural powers which all Forai are born with; tree whispering and forest magicks. He could spend months focusing on learning the wind's difficult swift chants and the slow and ancient language of the trees; ever so patiently learning the ways of nature. Together with Ërathwr, Midwyn got to meet many interesting characters; gnomish adventurers passing by, elven scholars studying the dense woods and even the occasional centaur on its way through. But eventually the time to leave the forest and journey to the vast Gielinor in the east drew near. Midwyn would leave Sylfaeron in order to learn the ways of the world and return as a wise and well-learned Forai, worthy of becoming the next sage.

Adventures in Gielinor

In early 168 Midwyn journeyed to Gielinor, first headed for the Gnome Stronghold in northern Kandarin. Later on, after having traded goods with the locals of the stronghold, he was allowed to fly with a gnome glider to the top of the White Wolf Mountain. He descended the mountain and arrived in Taverley, eager to learn of the land's nature god; Guthix.

For a few months he would stay with the Guthixian druids of Taverley and exchanged knowledge with them; both parties being versed in different kinds of herbology. With knowledge of Guthix Midwyn became more interested in the other gods of the realm and visited several shrines and altars in Asgarnia and Misthalin. While not being the religious type, it was now easier for Midwyn to understand the thinking and reasoning in Gielinor.

The year; 169. He'd been away from home for over a year now (which is a relatively short time to the Forai) and had really only been studying. It was time to put the newly gained knowledge to use in some sort for adventure; adventure which he hoped to find with the white knights in Falador. And what an adventure he was about to be cast into, though not on behalf of the white knights.

The two-faced tutor

It was a day like any other the day he met Fer'Ireth the Necromancer at the Rising Sun Inn. The necromancer, together with a shadowy character who went by the name of Kel Sicarius, introduced Midwyn to a world of dark arts and undeath. Fer'Ireth really plotted to steal Midwyn's soul, once he found out about the young Forai's potential, to turn him into one of his minions.
