Temple Knight Special Forces Operational Detachment- Echo 1 Xray (Callsign SOD-E1X) is one of the Temple Knights' highly secretive tier one counter-terrorism and Special Mission Units. Commonly known as E1X, it was formed under the designation SOD-E1X, and is officially referred to by the Temple Knights as Echo 1 Xray. This unit is an elite Special Operations Force. SOD-E1X is one of the Temple Knights' primary counter-terrorism units.
Primary tasks are counter-terrorism, direct action, and national intervention operations, although it is an extremely versatile group capable of assuming many covert missions, including, but not limited to, rescuing hostages and raids.
SOD-E1X generally recruits from other Temple Knights- But do make some exceptions with accepting White Knights as newly initiated Temple Knights; provided they're "good enough."
SOD-E1X Operators are highly trained in two of the three combat types in the triangle. Melee and Range. They're also experts in hand-to-hand, being taught the art of MMA. Although being highly trained Special Operators, they aren't trained as much in the art of stealth as they are in combat. Weapons generally include Shortswords, Longswords, and Compact Crossbows that may fit in the inside of a jacket for a low profile.
S.O.D-E1X Training Program[]
The mission of the Indoctrination Course is to recruit, select, and train future E1X Operatives and Officers. At this school, candidates undergo extensive physical conditioning with swimming, running, weight training, and calisthenics. This course helps prepare candidates for the rigors of training and the demand for this type of lifestyle. Other training includes, but is not limited to: Obstacle Courses, Rucksack Marches, Diving Physics, Medical Terminology, Cardiopulmonary Resucitation, Weapon Qualification, History of the Temple Knights, and Leadership Reaction Courses. Graduation of this course will grant the Candidate to proceed to actual training.
