Alchemy, although many people claimed to know it and use it back in the old days, used it in Anime and Manga. In Runescape Roleplay, no-one knows if its magic, or a science. I made my character learn it, the "scientific" way, then one fateful day, I decided to do it outside of the Academy, I was brought on upon multiple people who believed Alchemy wasn't supposed to be done that way. After that day, it brought to my attention that no-one has an exact way of doing Alchemy, in roleplay, everyone has their own opinions on how to do so. So I sought out to explain it the Scientific way, and the Magical way.

Practice of alchemy in roleplay is divided easily between two preferred methods: the scientific, and the magical. However, like all RuneScape spellbook items, once everything canon has been observed, there is still a wide area left open for individuals and groups to interpret the craft in their own personal way. Exact uses and possibilities for alchemy, then, are limited only by the creativity of the player and his character.

Also Bones to Peaches/Bananas where you use two water runes, two earth runes, and one nature rune (Bones to Bananas) or four water runes, four earth runes, and two nature runes (Bones to Peaches) all of which could be called "alchemy" due to changing one thing to another substance. But no one knows, are you able to do it, through chemistry or glyphs?

Out Of Character (In-Game)

In-Game, there are multiple types of "alchemy" in the spellbook, Low Level Alchemy and High Level Alchemy, both of which you use to make an object. I.E: Rune Kiteshield. Into gold coins using five fire runes and one nature rune.

As I roleplayed around Geilnor, I found some people that did Alchemy differently, at the Academy, one man showed my character Connwaer how to do Alchemy scientifically by using glyphs. The scientific way is, to put it simply. Taking one substance, such as sand, for instance, and changing it to glass. Most people would think "that’s simply heating it up! That’s no Alchemy!" for those who think that.

Though, you are wrong. As sand is a base element, you are able to change it chemically to something else of significance, such as, glass, and, change it to something such as a glass harp, for instance.

Typical "alchemy" glyph

Alchemy, the art of changing the chemical makeup of a substance into another, especially changing items into solid gold, is a coveted practice. In the wreal world, many claimed to know it and use it back in days of old. In Runescape Roleplay, the art of alchemy is subject to a great deal of debate, from how to learn and practice it to the level of difficulty.

Alchemy In-Game

In the mechanics of RuneScape, there are two clearly delineated types of "alchemy" in the spellbook: Low Level Alchemy and High Level Alchemy. Both of these take in an item (eg, a rune kiteshield) and magical resources (fire and nature runes), then output gold coins.

As I roleplayed around Geilnor, I found some people that did Alchemy differently, at the Academy, one man showed my character Connwaer how to do Alchemy scientifically by using glyphs. The scientific way is, to put it simply. Taking one substance, such as sand, for instance, and changing it to glass. Most people would think "that’s simply heating it up! That’s no Alchemy!" for those who think that.

Though, you are wrong. As sand is a base element, you are able to change it chemically to something else of significance, such as, glass, and, change it to something such as a glass harp, for instance.

Alchemy (Magical)

Alchemy using magic can be used two ways. With runes (the usual way in-game) or not using runes, the way maybe an Icyene or Majharrat would do it. With runes, you would have to use different runes to change it to something different than it already is. As with the spellbook the magical Alchemy would take nature runes and other runes such as, water, air, or earth runes. You could also do it magically if you are a magical being without using runes or glyphs.
